Springfield Lake is an environmental disaster, pollution is putting the lake to tipping point and after a town meeting Lisa persuades the town to stop dumping.

Meanwhile Homer acquires a pig used for a Krusty Burger commercial and adopts him as a pet. He stores the pig droppings in a container in the back garden that quickly starts to overflow. On his way to dispose of the droppings Homer takes a phone call from Lenny and decides to dump everything in the lake causing it to become over infected.
The town comes to the attention of the US Government who seal it in a dome and the town turns on the Simpsons. They escape to ALASKA!
In Alaska they become aware that Springfield is going to be blown up by the Government and return to save the town. In the process of throwing the bomb out of the dome, Homer and BArt blow it up and resue Springfield.
